Gérard, everyone !
True but sweeping is a lot better because you can use your headphones without wondering if it is plugged in or not.

It's primarily a joke Muriel.
But Dawn means that people look so nasty that it will make her day.

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, ‘I’ve got some bad news. You have cancer, and you’d best put your affairs in order.’
The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting.
‘Well, daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don’t go so well. In this case, things aren’t well. I have cancer. So, let’s head to the club and have a martini.’
After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman’s old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating.
The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end, ‘I’ve been diagnosed with AIDS.’
The friends were aghast, gave the woman their condolences and beat a hasty retreat.
After the friends left, the woman’s daughter leaned over and whispered, ‘Mum, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS! Why did you do that??’
‘Because I don’t want any of those bitches sleeping with your father after I’m gone.’

Let's never eat anything tasty when we are hungry... only at the end of a meal otherwise...

All the more difficult with Facebook. To have a good image in front of your FB friends has become increasingly important especially among young people !

The statement is not referring to Facebook.
Similarly young people are more concerned by friends in their schoolyard or stadium... now their FB friends are the same (schoolyard. stadium).

Gérard, what the others think is very important among teenagers. Il the past wearing brands was a "must". Now having a good FB profile even if it is not totally the truth is "a must" too. How will they get rid of their fear of what people think when they become adults ?

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
A lady was walking down the street when she was a approached by a lady beggar asking for money.
The lady took a $20 bill out of her purse and asked: “if I give you this money will you spend it on chocolate?”
“Don’t be ridiculous” the beggar replied “does it look like I have nothing better to spend money on?”
“How about shopping?” she asked.
“No,” the beggar said, “don’t you understand I need money just to stay alive.”
“Will you spend it on your hair?” the lady asked.
Annoyed, the beggar replied, “No, I just need money for food, and shelter.
“In that case,” the lady said, “I don’t want to just give you money, I would like you to eat out with me and my husband tonight.”
“Why?” The beggar asked.
“Well,” the lady said, “I think it’s important for him to see what a lady looks like after she gives up chocolate, shopping, and hair appointments.”
