Bing background
Hi everyone,
Probably, quite a few members here know and use Bing.
-> http://www.bing.com/
-> https://www.facebook.com/gerard.melone#!/photo.php?fbid=10150161619339027&set=a.51298954026.74423.675549026 I provide you with that second address because the picture of the first link will be changed shortly as it's the background of the day for the Web site.
Today, the picture shows Carcassonne.
What's interesting is that the picture is interactive and you can get information clicking sensitive areas.
Bing is Microsoft's search engine (similar to Google to get responses to requests)... you can ask it "how far between Seattle and Redmond?"
Bing is still in beta version after more than a year.
I could test Bing when I traveled throughout the US and it's really good, even understanding questions in French language.
The program is not localized (not able to give local info for France as it does for the States).
One and a half year ago, there was a competition regarding selected backgrounds and a photographer of my friends' arrived number 2 with a wonderful photo of the Mont Saint Michel but the winner was a photo showing a huge grade separation in Seattle at night (with the lights of cars, etc.): too bad!
NB: Seattle is the capital city of Washington state, located at 12 miles from Redmond where the Microsoft's headquarters are so that oodles of votes were pro Seattle.
