Do the Germans have a sense of humour ?
The English take delight in saying that the Germans do not have a sense of humour. Having said that there is a German comedian , Henning Wehn, who is on U.K. television and is very popular.
Last week I heard a caller to a radio station who was asked what he was going to do to celebrate New Year's Eve . He said he had some German friends staying with him and in deference to them they would be following a New Year's Eve tradition which is common in many German homes. Surprisingly, this tradition is to watch a British film made in 1963 starring Freddie Frinton. The film is called " Dinner for One " or sometimes " The Ninetieth Birthday Party. " The film only lasts 18 minutes with little dialogue other than - " The same procedure as last year, Miss Sophie ? ". " The same procedure every year, James. "

Humour is the closest way from between two persons.
However, it's advisable to accompany it with a beer, even an ale
