what is the best diet ?
I have read in Vocable that one day we are told that something is good for you and the next day it is not good anymore.Six to eight weeks of following a diet doesn't tell us much about cancer prevention for instance. what is important to do is to follow people's diet from their birth to until they are eighty. It is interesant to note that when people migrate from one culture to the other, they develop chronic deseases. That tells us that it's not genetics. By the way it's not just diet because they might sart smoking, have more stress etc.
On the whole doctors agree that mediterranean diet is the best
Have you got other tips ?
On the whole doctors agree that mediterranean diet is the best
The more doctors test it, the more they find that eating Mediterranean is good for you and the absolute best way to lose weight. Based on the cooking and eating styles of Italy, France, Greece, Spain, and other Mediterranean countries, the plan features olive oil, fruits and vegetables, nuts, legumes, fish and poultry, whole grains and, yes, wine! It's high in heart-healthy fats and, unlike other diets, doesn't forbid any food group. "It's hard to stay on extreme diets," says Harvard nutrition expert Walter Willett, MD, PhD, whose book Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy popularized the approach in the United States. "This diet has lots of variety and wonderful flavors so people stick with it."
Have you got other tips ?

Re: what is the best diet ?
hello,
there are no best diets among those we know up to now. Of course, many people might think that cretan one should be the best but if you eat twice much more meal, that will not certainly help you. I have heard that the best diet is the one, in which you eat just at your own hunger, sometime a little bit lower than you need.
For example, in Okinawa, japanese used to eat everything, mostly fishes, vegetable and fruits, but 80% of what they really need and they keep working when we are already retired. One other thing is the family and relatives factor, people live in a little village and know each other very well, so that they take of themselves.
Bye

I hear that the Japanese eat too much salt (much more than the Europeans), and this develops AVC.
Probably the fish they eat there (the sushis) is responsible for it ??

Hello Guilaine, coldfusion
Thank you very much for answering. It 's true that the Japonese have the longest life expectancies. Is it because they eat 80 per cent of what they need and work past retirement age ? I have also read that japonese women never get old or fat. Their diet looks interesting but what about AVC because they eat too much salt ? ...there's no rose without a thorn.
