Power Failures Compensation in France Empty Power Failures Compensation in France

Message  gerardM Sam 27 Avr - 20:05

Hi everyone,

I'm referring to "20 Minutes" April 26, 2013, go to page 9: "Des indemnités en panne".

We can read that in France, the compensation paid by the power provider is too low!

When we've a good power cut or failure, we are in trouble: food in the freezer is just good for the garbage can and the waste of money can be important!

The French receive the lowest compensation in Europe according the UFC-Que choisir.
For a 24-hour cut/failure:
- in France, we pocket €3,44
- in England, it's €60
- in Italy, €90
- in Sweden, more than €160.

Is Globalisation a reality, or not?? Wink

A few stats:
- average failure in France went from 200 minutes in 2009 to 73 in 2011
- differences between départements: Deux-Sèvres=45 minutes, Vendée=136 minutes
- 51 département out of 94 are above the average duration.
