Arlette aka Agnès Varda was born in 1928 in Belgium... though she was born in Ixelles, Belgium (the now famous village where lots of French billionaires are said to emigrate and escape the French IRS). Arlette's family left Belgium in 1940 to go to Sète in southern France. Wealthy Belgians can leave Belgium for France LOL
Agnès Varda is the President of the jury of "CAMERA D’OR 2013", part of the Cannes Festival.
