Hi everyone.
You may know that I was a specialist in computer and information security. I’m not as good as in the past but I’m still keen on the subject.
I invite you to read this interesting article regarding privacy: Protect your car tech privacy with these six simple tips. It’s full of good advice.
It’s the example of private information saved in your car.
Sold car, stollen car, dumped car, exchanged for a new car, etc. non erasing data would lead to your home, to opening your garage door...
Erase data but also think about erasing it remotely in case your car were stollen.
On the other hand, think about setting remote localization (useful in case of robbery, right?)
Oodles of devices are in similar situations: laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. think of it too.
Hope This Helps.
Take care.
See ya soon.
Gérard
