Hi everyone,
-> ‘Many languages, one world’: UN launches essay contest to celebrate multilingualism
14 October 2013 – The United Nations is asking college and university students to write an essay in one of its six official languages on the role of multilingualism in a globalized world.
The contest, ‘Many Languages, One World,’ supports international education and multilingualism through the continued study of Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Information about the contest, including guidelines for submission, can be found at http://www.els.edu/ManyLanguagesOneWorld.

Hi Gérard !
What Paulo Coelho says is very interesting
What Paulo Coelho says is very interesting
About the idea of a clash between cultures, between civilisations, I don’t believe in it. It’s something some political leaders tried to use, and that the media tried and are still trying to sell us, in order to simplify the world and their work. When they talk about a “clash of civilisations,” it’s just a way to separate things but the reality, and what I see, is that we are much closer than we think. I was in China recently. I spoke to normal people and heard the same stories I would hear in Brazil. So where is the clash of civilisations? There is none. - See more at: http://www.un.org/apps/news/newsmakers.asp?NewsID=27#sthash.FKCeFmNY.dpuf

Hi Muriel,
I agree.
I don't want to write much about politics but the more it goes the more I think politicians are the biggest crooks ever, dealing with their own businesses only and (voluntarily) ignoring people's needs and behaviors.
For example, multiplying friend seats in lots of useless assemblies.
For example, with this story of the ethylotests, it's clear it was just to help friends get money.
People have to suffer from laws invented by greedy guts.
Well, enough with politics!
Individuals would rarely fight one another but try to communicate and build a better world.

Hi Gérard !
It must be very difficult for politicians.
They ignore people's needs, how to manage a business (they just have theoretical knowledge), how to behave with people and they have to organize our lives.

Muriel,
They have power, fame, money... and they don't even know they are useless (and hopeless).
They vote laws they won't respect.
