More and more consumers do. They’ve also got soy milk, coconut milk, flax milk and all sorts of trendy juices and bottled waters. But good old milk — the moo kind — keeps fading from grocery lists.

Britain is one of the few countries where milk is delivered daily to the doorstep  by milkmen. Now milkmen have gradually become extinct.
Do you know the reasons for that ?

Hi Muriel,

Thanks for the article.
As you possibly know, I tend to read and take a look at grammar, etc.

I wonder why "Milk's rate" and "milk’s protein" but "milk drinkers"; why no "'s" (I was stunned by the possessive case)? Is it because drinkers is a plural (however, as far as I know English people don't have the French rule regarding double plurals).

As for me, I drink as much milk as when I was a kid: should I stop?

Yes you are right Gérard !
the possessive pattern ('s) is generally used when indicate a relation of ownership or association with a person, rather than a thing. For example:- Lynne's web site kept growing larger and larger. There are, as ever, exceptions to this rule. When a group of people is involved or animals. -
I also Wonder why there is a possessive case with "milk"
