Holidays in "Le massif central"

Our holidays in Lavoute
In the year 1975, right in the middle of the hippy movement when young people believed in harmony with nature and communal living, we bought a house in “Le massif central”. Do you know the Song The blue house from Maxime Forestier ? It was like that or rather we wanted it to look like that. Nobody owned that house, it belonged to an association whose purpose were the 1968 ‘s values : campfire simple atmosphere and friendship
The house is still there in that little helmet in the middle of nowhere. The challenge is not gone but the group is older and can't adapt so easily to the lack of comfort. With the problems of insurance and administrative standards it has become more difficult to welcome people we don't know. Younger people have joined the group and a few founding members have left. Our Neighbours are different but we enjoyed our stay there on August 2014

Hippy period : those were the days !
At this time, the last period before crisis, some people were fed up with consumer society.
With crisis, people think it is no more possible to live that. Because of globalization.
On the contrary, it is the exact moment to change your life. Thanks to new technologies, if you work on a computer or even with teleworking, you can live in the middle of nowhere. You just need electricity. Internet can be brought by satellite.
So, you can buy an aera in the middle of nowhere, cultivate a garden and breed animals, and have a job around new technologies. So you have a healthy life, some money, and that doesn't cost much at the start.

Good idea Remy ! we should do that in la Voute, it would be much easier to live there !Internet can be brought by satellite.
