Re: 30 Years of Excel – the Story of Excellence
Hi,
I'm fascinated by spreadsheets.
Before 1980, I was working in IT and also teaching at the Paris I University.
My boss (famous Louis Naugès) invited me to play with one of the new purchases of the school: several TRS80.
As programs, I could play with a word processor, a database, a spreadsheet named Visicalc.
As a computer guy on a mainframe, I was stunned by these programs and computers!!
I then used all of the main programs of the spreadsheet family from Visicalc to Lotus-123 to Multiplan to Excel...
I'm still a very active daily user.
The article is very good; I'm very happy the authors don't speak only of Excel but all the programs and all of the developers.
In addition it's in English... otherwise I wouldn't have published it here as its first advantage is to help us improve our level.
