Yes Muriel, the sentence is indeed weird.
The only thing we can understand is a table with a drawer (to usually keep knives, forks, etc) or a table with a shelf (full-length shelf just under the table top).
If there are several drawer or shelves as the pice of furniture in offices, it would be called "desk", not table.

In English "you must be right" is used when people are annoyed and usually in an argument, or close.
