Re: let’s talk about women and men
I understand your fears Rémy ! Anyway, i have read somewhere that more expressive types of leaders are emerging. They can share their feelings and emotions more openly and honestly. Is n't it a feminine trait ?brilliant women sometimes loose their womanhood because they think that, to succeed as a man, they must be like men. It's a pity

Yes, for a better world more participation for women in the political, economic, social and other spheres is very important ! A mix of masculine and feminine every where leads to harmony doesn't it ?
The theme of this year's executive meeting, which opens on Monday, is "transforming society through women's empowerment," Kim Jung-sook, president of ICW, said Taipei.
"This is a very meaningful event," she said.

confusion between grammatical gender and and sexual belonging
A Muriel
The International Council of Women (ICW) is an organization working across national boundaries for the common cause of advocating human rights for women. It has been in life since 1888, representing dozens of women's organizations from 9 countries today: Canada, the United States, Ireland, India, England, Finland, Denmark, France and Norway. Women from professional organizations, trade unions, arts groups and benevolent societies participate. National Councils are affiliated to the ICW and thus make themselves heard at international level. The ICW enjoys consultative status with the UN and its Permanent Representatives to: ECOSOC, ILO, FAO, WHO, UNDP, UNEP, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNCTAD, UNIDO, etc.
Of course, I support such goals. Despite major progress over the last century, there is still a long way to go to full emancipation of women. Why does it take that long ? First, all countrties in the world are not at the same level of development. Second, human masses sustain Newton’s law of INERTIA, i.e. the quality in concrete matter (mass) that lets it stay still if it is still, or keeps it moving if it is moving. Now, the mass of women « weigh » more than half of world population !
My criticism and comments on this Forum about « masculin and féminin » did aim not at men/women as biological beings, but at the stupid confusion between grammatical gender and and sexual belonging. When the French, say LE soleil and LA lune, they dont « masculinize » or « feminize » material objects. They just apply the rules of French grammar. Thus, claims by feminists and suffragettes, who favour nominal feminization of jobs, functions, rights, roles and titles, as well as the ridiculous hype of « gender neutrality » are definitely NUTS, nonsense !
(By the way, there is also an International Council on Women’s Business Leadership ─ ICWBL. It depends on a U.S. public body and solely serves American business interests : American economic policy development, global economic growth etc. But this is another story.)

Miss America wraps up
ON JUNE 5th Miss America announced that it would ditch the bikinis and become a “competition”, rather than a pageant. “We will no longer judge our candidates on their outward physical appearance,” announced Gretchen Carlson (pictured), the chairwoman of Miss America’s board of directors, and a former Miss America (1989). “That’s huge.” On Twitter the organisation posted a brief video of a white bikini disappearing in a puff of smoke with the hashtag #byebyebikini.

Hi everyone
I find this décision very important for it concretizes that women want to show the world who they are as a person from the Inside of their soul.

Re: let’s talk about women and men
Miss America is a beauty competition. The miss don't represent their country, as a president does. It's just for fun.
Il they want to organize an other kind of competition, based on mind qualities, why not ? Just keep the usual competition and add another one.

Emblematic first ladies
The first lady is first and foremost the hostess of the white house. I remember perfectly Jacky Kennedy who was regarded as an international fashion icon, Barbara Bush who was both wife and mother of a president, Hillary Clinton who ran for the US presidency against Donald Trump, Michelle Obama who was the first African-American first lady of the US. Now Melania Trump wanted to be traditional. Who is she ?

International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day events are held worldwide on March 8. Various women, including political, community, and business leaders, as well as leading educators, inventors, entrepreneurs, and television personalities, are usually invited to speak at various events on the day. Such events may include seminars, conferences, luncheons, dinners or breakfasts. The messages given at these events often focus on various themes such as innovation, the portrayal of women in the media, or the importance of education and career opportunities.
Many students in schools and other educational settings participate in special lessons, debates or presentations about the importance of women in society, their influence, and issues that affect them.

We may have suspected it already, but now the science backs it up: unmarried and childless women are the happiest subgroup in the population. And they are more likely to live longer than their married and child-rearing peers, according to a leading expert in happiness.

gilsèle Halami
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gis%C3%A8le_Halimi
Gisèle Halimi, a passionate defender of the cause of women, is dead. The famous lawyer, who defended FLN activists during the Algerian war and fought for the liberalization of abortion and the criminalization of rape, died last july 27thBiography[edit]
Halimi was born in La Goulette, Tunisia, on 27 July 1927 to a Jewish mother and a Berber father. She was educated at a French lycée in Tunis, and then attended the University of Paris, graduating in law and philosophy. Her childhood and the ways in which she blends a Jewish-Muslim identity are discussed in her memoir, Le lait de l'oranger. She was first married to Paul Halimi, and then to Claude Faux.[2] She died the day after her 93th birthday, on 28 July 2020.[3]
Career[edit]
In 1948, Halimi qualified as a lawyer and, after eight years at the Tunis bar,[4] moved to practice at the Paris bar in 1956.[4] She acted as a counsel for the Algerian National Liberation Front,[4] most notably for the activist Djamila Boupacha in 1960,[4] who had been raped and tortured by French soldiers,[4] and wrote a book in 1961 (with an introduction by Simone de Beauvoir)[4] to plead her case.[4] She also defended Basque individuals accused of crimes committed during the conflict in Basque Country, and was counsel in many cases related to women's issues,[4] such as the 1972 Bobigny abortion trial (of a 17-year-old accused of procuring an abortion after having been raped),[4] which attracted national attention.
In 1967, she chaired the Russell Tribunal, which was initiated by Bertrand Russell and Jean-Paul Sartre to investigate and evaluate American military action in Vietnam.[citation needed]
In 1971, she founded the feminist group Choisir (transl. To Choose)[5] to protect the women who had signed the Manifesto of the 343 admitting to having illegal abortions, of which she was one.[4][6] In 1972 Choisir formed itself into a clearly reformist body, and the campaign greatly influenced the passing of the law allowing contraception and abortion carried through by Simone Veil in 1974.[citation needed]
In 1981, she was elected to the French National Assembly,[4] as an independent Socialist, and was Deputy for Isère until 1984. Between 1985 and 1987 she was a French legate to UNESCO.[7]
In 1998, she was a founding member of ATTAC.[8]

Catherine Dulac
https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2020/09/catherine-dulac-rewarded-for-study-of-parenting-behavior/
I am very proud to learn that Catherine Dulac , a French searcher living in the United States has just been
rewarded for discovering the neurons of parental instinct
she said that “It’s not that the circuitry is different; it’s the regulation of that circuitry that’s different. The male brain has the same circuitry for parenting behavior that is present in females, and females have circuitry for infanticide that males have. If we kill these neurons in the female brain, they are no longer parental. If we activate them in males, they become parental.”
Hi everyone !. By genetically modifying the function of VNO neurons, she discovered that sex-specific social behaviors can be altered.

Women have found it very difficult to make their voices heard in society and Varney’s remark is very significant. However, a female leader will be better than a man at establishing collective intelligence and refusing pyramid organisation.
Varney a écrit: Ladies, you do not need to vote. Your husband votes; your father votes; your brother votes, and they would certainly never vote against your best interest because they care about you; therefore, you are represented,

International women's day 2021
This day was created with an activist perspective. It is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of the struggle for women's rights and to pay tribute to past and present struggles. Thanks to the courageous women of the past present women have the same rights as men (vote, own bank account etc.)
Anyway, in 2020 the average net monthly salary for a woman working full-time was 19% lower than that of her male counterpart.
Women do more childcare and more domestic work than men, although this is gradually changing. Sexual harassment in the workplace is unacceptable.
Yet it is extremely important that men and women could work together because they complement one another . A man tends to dominate because power brings him a lot of dopamine. A woman knows how to divide the tasks better and when she has the power she can more easily build up a collective intelligence.

Men and women behave like yin and yang
What Is the Meaning of Yin and Yang? (thoughtco.com)
The forces of nature (yin and yang) have an interest in blending harmoniously. There is a little yin in men (yang) and a little yang in women(yin) but when they dance together, it works wonders!
- Yin-Yang
The yin-yang philosophy says that the universe is composed of competing and complementary forces of dark and light, sun and moon, male and female.- The philosophy is at least 3,500 years old, discussed in the ninth-century BCE text known as I Ching or Book of Changes, and influences the philosophies of Taoism and Confucianism.
- The yin-yang symbol is related to the ancient method used to track the movements of the sun, moon, and stars around the year.
Generally speaking, yin is characterized as an inward energy that is feminine, still, dark, and negative. On the other hand, yang is characterized as outward energy, masculine, hot, bright, and positive.
