Communicating while wearing a mask and physical distancing

Wearing a mask makes communication very difficult and we have to make an effort to understand and feel the person we are talking to.
Fortunately the gestures and the look are signs that do not deceive and fortunately they are there.
Hello everyoneHow Masks Can Make It Harder to Communicate
Masks muffle sound, making it more difficult to understand speech and some higher-pitched voices.
Masks take away our ability to read lips and see facial expressions, which help us better understand what we’re hearing.
Speaking with a mask can be hard for people with communication problems, like aphasia or voice problems.
Masks can be uncomfortable for people who wear hearing aids or cochlear implants (see tips below).

Indeed !
Moreover, some people, wearing a mask all day long, suffer from headaches at the end of the day. It could be bad for the health...

Yes Remy and it all the more difficult to wear when people are deaf or hard of hearing because they become isolated. It is not easy for those who can hear either. The mask hides a large part of the face and therefore of the expressions. Only the eyes remain visible. It is impossible to see a smile, a pinch of lips or a pout. All these mimics give information on the quality and content of the relationship established with the others. The mask removes all that. Communication is thus amputated.
