Why are Highland cows called Highland 'coos'
Hi everyone
I have just talked about highland coos with a nice girl from Glasgow on zoom. She showed me a miniature coo and i wandered why it was not a cow;
They're commonly found in the Highlands and 'coo' means 'cow' in the old Scots language. Scots is a variety of English that's been spoken in the Highlands for hundreds of years.
