Internet English Resources by Online English Teacher Monika
Hi everyone,
I found a web site made by Online English Teacher Monika.
Here's her Web site -> Learn to love English
I don't know if there're free resources there.
Here's her Facebook account -> Online English Teacher Monika -FB
On FB, Monika publishes exercises, questions, pictures, etc. Her pics are often taken from Grammarly (where I also pick up resources).

Monika's FB page is cool: my advice is to follow her.
Monika a écrit:Here is a puzzle for you:
What occurs twice in a lifetime, but once in every year. Twice in a week but never in a day?
Monika a écrit:What common English verb becomes its own past tense by rearranging the letters?
Monika a écrit:Read the story and solve the puzzle:
A man walks into a bar in Texas and asks for a glass of water.
The bartender pulls out a shotgun and points it at him.
The man says ' thank you' and leaves.
Why?

I have found the last story solution on the net "The man had the hiccups, so he wanted a glass of water to cure them. The bartender pulled out a gun to scare him, therefore curing his hiccups!" I desesperately wanted to have the solution...

Re: Internet English Resources by Online English Teacher Monika
Hello Gérard, everyone
Here is my contribution
when I am speaking English at the polyglot I would like to turn into a native speaker to easily welcome people and carry on until the end of the evening. I am looking forward to achieving that.

Good Muriel!
The question (with an exclamation mark) was from Monika, not from me.
However -if you permit me- you cannot turn into a native speaker: you could look like a native speaker but never become one.
> until the end of the evening
I don't know what time your polyglot café begins but as far as I know, from tea time, it is "night" (the Brits use "night" earlier than the French say "nuit").

These two sentences are a little strange. Can you work out why?
'All for one and one for all.'
'You can cage a swallow, can't you, but you can't swallow a cage, can you?'

Very iportant lesson!!
NB: Let's notice that though a British teacher, Monica uses an
American page (theater and not theatre...)
Notice a theater, in the States, is a room in which they have films
-they call it movie-theater-

Thanks Monika! Good asset!
~~ edit
In fact, this picture comes from Grammarly.com
(Monika often picks up pictures from other sites -like me-: Grammarly, EngliskIsFun,Help2Say, etc.)
I'll try not to refer to Monika though she's precious as she's quick.
Why "Save The English Language"?
Because it's in danger
... due to English natives!!
