Do you know all of these words?
Yes? Congrats!
No? Learn them
they are useful,
You have to know them all.
I'm personally disapointed:
I'd say the photos are not good
as you cannot understand the word with the picture...
weird for something that is designed for teaching.

It's very important to know synonyms.
Knowing them, you'll be able to
better express détails and subtleties.

There're 15 verbs.
Do you know them all?
Look up into a dictionary
as you must know and use them.

Re: Internet English Resources / EnglishIsFun -lessons
Hi everyone,
TONGUE TWISTERS
1) Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
2) Whenever the weather is cold.
Whenever the weather is hot.
We'll whether the weather,
whatever the weather,
whether we like it or not.
3) Betty Botter bought some butter but, said she, the butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter will make my bitter batter better.
So she bought some better butter, better than the bitter butter,
put it in her bitter batter, made her bitter batter better.
So 'twas better Betty Botter bought some better butter.
4) If two witches would watch two watches, which witch would watch which watch?
5) A tutor who tooted the flute
tried to tutor two tooters to toot.
Said the two to the tutor,
"Is it harder to toot or
to tutor two tooters to toot?"
6) She sells sea shells on the seashore.
The seashells she sells are seashells she is sure.
7) I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought
I thought I thought.
If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought,
I wouldn't have thought so much.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A woodchuck could chuck as much wood
as a woodchuck would chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
9) Elizabeth's birthday is on the third Thursday of this month.
10) Can you imagine an imaginary menagerie manager
imagining managing an imaginary menagerie?

A comment states it's "I'm living IN Baker street" and not "... ON..."
IN versus ON for Streets is a frequent debate in English.

Another helpful lesson in prepositions.
I repeat that in every language
prepositions are a nightmare
simply due to the fact that
they are not correctly taught
preposition use is not very logical
so that
WE MUST LEARN THEM WITH THE VERB (ou other element).
With experience, we can realize
there are kinda rules which help guess/feel.
As for me, I created an Access table
to help me learn and remember
(I did this long ago
when the Internet was not that spread).
I just took a look to it and saw
Irregular verbs, prépositions, opposites, phrasal verbs.

It's very nice Muriel.
Let me add I can sort my file as I like or need, I can filter, etc. my file is not like a sheet of paper but far more.
LOL
I went and took a look at my file after my post and remembered that I intended to abandon Access after having converted my files to Excel: so thanks! I had forgotten!
(I also created other files for German and Italian)
