Thank you Gérard for the link. I find very interesting that internet could resuscitate dying languages. Anyway I don't think I will find the time to post on facebook. Reading all your posts and vocable main articles in 3 languages is enough for me. Please go no posting with plurilinguism facebook page it's so interesting . They are very good for our forum and You have hit the nail on the head for  many things

> 49%...
This figure has to be considered.
In the United States, given the number of immigrants (legally or not), many people can speak foreign languages and sometimes better than English.
Spanish is an official language in many States.
Go to the Metro in Paris and count the number of travelers, trying to guess if they are French.

The furor over Coca-Cola's multilingual "America is Beautiful" ad aired during Sunday night's Super Bowl has brought to the forefront of the national (and to some extent international) consciousness the complex truth that language choice is inherently political. In the scholarly literature on language documentation, some linguists have maintained that fieldworkers should keep out of language politics in their documentary work. Others have countered that not taking a political stance in documentary fieldwork is not only not possible, it isn't even desirable. Here we present some additional thoughts on the politics of language and language choice.

oui rien de plus triste que l'uniformisation
http://www.toupie.org/Dictionnaire/Uniformisation.htm

The progression from home sign to village sign to a full sign language "can provide a window onto how language is developed," says Goldberg—and clues about the human brain's hard-wiring for language.
Very interesting indeed !

national languages would be cherished for spirituality and poetry alongside  Mad

Globish is suspected of cultural imperialism which is not good. First it spoils the English language and second it doesn't respect the other ones
