Gérard i mean that it is important not to be disheartened because of your mistakes. I don't know about taking mistakes as opportunities i just mean that it is important to follow one's dreams whatever it costs like in Jacques Brel's song

The best companies, the best guys know that "bad times, difficulties are not failures, they are opportunities".
When there's a global crisis, when a sports team is defeated, people must not wait for best times, but take advantage to fix the weakest points.
When the stock exchange is plummeting, it's exactly when people have to buy instead of avoid moving anything.

Thanks Gérard, i understand better what "to take mistakes as opportunities"means.

It depends on the character of people...
As I wrote it somewhere else, I attended a few COP21's roundtables days ago; there were industrialists, of which Gérard Mestrallet and the guy was "happy" about Energy Transition because he had to rethink lots of things in his company (Engie) to adapt resources to the new world.
When the environment doesn't change it's more difficult to get employees to go forward and improve things because they don't understand why, on the other hand, when times are difficult, and when you are dynamic, it's a wonderful opportunity to take over all of the shy and weak competitors that will only wait for better times... however, industrialists are all usually dynamic.

To those who are not industrialists, I would say: always go ahead!
Again, on the stock market, it's well when the rates rocket and plummet quickly that we've the opportunities to make big money.

In fact it's when there are problems that man must cope with those problems an be more creative and more intelligent isn't it ?

That's right Muriel but it depends on the character. Some people prefer things never to change.

When there's a huge change such as a divorce or job loss, I mean when people must absolutely go ahead, they often get far stronger and don't regret old times.

Many pictures that I re-publish on this forum are on this subject: to be happy, we have to change the environment, avoid to adapt too well and always do what we want.

You won't be surprised if I tell you that Americans are good at that.

I wrote several times about classes that I took from "Dale Carnegie". There were several stories on this subject.
I remember a chapter speaking about a guy who inherited a land somewhere in Texas where there were only wild and nasty snakes... the guy made big money manufacturing antiserum products.

Something that looked like a completely lost situation was transformed into a big success.

This type of story is usual in the States...

Yes. However there's a difference between someone feeling unconfortable and trying to brake and someone pleased/excited about changes.
So many people try to escape changes. Look at all the demonstrations in France as soon as people try to chage a little bit of anything.
