However, it's easier not to learn grammatical rules than to read, and read, and read in order to learn correct sentences and get good reflexes (to be able to ask your ears/eyes if they already heard/saw this or that).

Back to "see, look and watch":

See can be followed by if and weather. Look and watch are not normally followed by if or whether.

Let’s see whether she is in. (NOT Let’s watch/look whether she is in.)
See if there is any food left. (NOT Look/watch if there is any food left.)
In the last 2 lines, actions are closer to "look" but there are "whether or if".
