yes, when people say "How stupid can you be ! "or "you can't do it can you ?" make you prove the opposite and it's a good challenge isn't it !

You can say whatever you want, but the Pullitzer Prize winning Politifact has rated the candidates by whether they tell the truth. Trump is the biggest liars, followed by a lot of Republicans. Hilary is remarkably truthful.
>is the biggest liars
Of course, there's a typo: "is the biggest liar"
I'm posting this not for political reason but for the funny expression "Pants on fire".
As you can see it above, "Pants on fire" is a serious expression(used at the same level as "fake, false..." in the legend.
"Pants on fire" is here considered as a noun or an adjective; it means the biggest lies ever.
It comes from a childish "rhyme" to moke or denounce a liar at school... or on street by adults... VERY POPULAR!

Do you want to know everything abour lies, listen to http://av.voanews.com/clips/VLE/2015/12/02/caacd8a3-7de9-4858-8706-6942eb247bf0.mp3

Liar Liar Pants On Fire!
(un peu comme notre "Ouh la menteuse, elle est amoureuse !" ou "Menteur !" / "Tu es un menteur !" dit d'un air sévère)

I'm pleased to see Pommies have got as many difficulties as we have understanding foreign words!
-> Trowel for our Fr "truelle": not bad!
-> Foil for our Fr "fleuret": they probably listened to French people after having washed down a victory with champers.

You, but also there is the Southern "y'all", the Pittsburghian "yinz" and the Bostonian "youse"

Howdy.
Iindeed a tricky word.
I have to confess that I got trapped as I was reading a text...
Sorry but "debris" (different pronunciation in Am and Brit En) is an uncountable word ie a singular tho' the French translation "débris/restes/décombres/dépôts..." is usually plural.
So, I was trapped: I thought there was a mistake but no, "other debris clogs up the drain hose" and "you may need to manually remove the debris that is clogging the check valve at the end of the drain hose." are definitely correct.
OK I must remember this one.

Howdy,
I just noticed something interesting today.
Weird!
The translation of Fr "mien" is En "mine", OK?
I didn't know that "mien" existed in English and that its translation into French was... "mine"; however not the pit, nor the explosive but the face. Please note that the pronunciation of the English "mien" is mi:n ie like in French.
Funny and interesting, isn't it? At least it is for me.

Gerard I didn't understand immediately and suddenly I realized in a flash that OCD could be Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD)
Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder where people feel the need to check things repeatedly, perform certain routines repeatedly (called "rituals"), or have certain thoughts repeatedly.
