Gérard if these 6000 years old fairy tales have survived and are able to withstand the test of time, it is because fairy tales help children solve certain existential problems.These problems are like archetypes (separation anxiety, oedipal conflict, and sibling rivalries)don't you think ?

Gérard I am pleased you have read and enjoyed that book.
I have also spent hours on end telling fairy tales to my children and grand children. Have you noticed that some fairy tales please some children who want to listen to them over and over again?
