It's excellent you know most of the words: so you could revise.
Knowing the words is not the most important nor the aim of the posting.
It allows you to realize the numerous words in the series (kind of "synonyms") and to own a rich vocabulary to exactly choose the degree you need when you speak.
I mean that with such lists, you won't use a wrong word, or use "very" to show you want more; with such lists you can use the exact degree that fits your opinion or thought.

As I wrote it several times, these lists are very important.
When people want to be fluent, they need to own such fine and rich vocabulary.

It is important to change our ways, to be precise, to use accurate words, to ban "very", to ban approximations, to ban periphrases,

A language is designed for expressing what you mean as exactly as possible.
A poorly educated person will use rough words, an educated person will use accurate words.

Thanks for your message.
Nippy is not "very chilly" but simply chilly (same level); take a look at the diagram of last post showing the climax in the meanings.

"Nippy" is the adjective derived from "nip".
I may be wrong: for me "nip/nippy" come from "nipple", a part of anatomy which gets harder when it's cold.
However nip and nippy have got other meanings than cold and these meanings don't have anything to do with nipple.
