Hi there !
for those who don't know what a funny bone is

for those who don't know what a funny bone is

Have you ever hit the inside of your elbow in just the right spot and felt a tingling or prickly kind of dull pain? That's your funny bone! It doesn't really hurt as much as it feels weird. The "funny bone" got its nickname because of that funny feeling you get after you hit it.
But your funny bone isn't actually a bone at all. Running down the inside part of your elbow is a nerve called the ulnar nerve. The ulnar nerve lets your brain know about feelings in your fourth and fifth fingers. It's also one of the nerves that controls some movement of your hand.

Thanks for explanations Muriel!
A few additional words about "wishbone":
- a wishbone is a part of a windsurfing board, the one on whish people put both hands.
The part is composed in 2 (half)parts with the shape of a V that people assemble (insert one into the other).
- a wishbone is also a bone that can be found at the base of the neck of a chicken, a turkey, a goose (and birds).
The medical name is furcula (meaning small fork). The shape of this bone is a Y - a fork (a short branch -just enough to pinch b/w thumb and index- in front of 2 longer branches).
The name comes from a kind of game in American families.
The tradition in big family meals, especially for tahnksgiving, around the turkey, is to take this furcula and hand it to another member; each person holds one branch and makes a wish before splitting the wishbone.
That's it!

(The Wishbone – A True Thanksgiving Tradition)the legend says that whoever is holding the bigger piece will have their wish come true.
That's it!
