Do you enjoy watching any sports played with rackets (the sporting equipment)? If your player won, would you make a racket (a lot of noise)? #AmericanEnglish

Since summer has begun here in the U.S., many people who live far from family will go home to visit their families for a week or two. Here are some sayings related to "home" in #AmericanEnglish. Which one is your favorite?

A "square meal" usually has protein (like meat or beans), a vegetable, and a starch (like potatoes, rice, or bread). What's a typical "square meal" in your region? #AmericanEnglish

Have you ever had a situation in which something very small caused you to be upset or overwhelmed? Maybe there were many other things that caused this problem, but the final one was just too much. #AmericanEnglish

Yes Muriel, "chair" is a synonym of "chairman" and "chairperson".
Notice the close French word "chaire" eg at Univ.

NB: "to chair" also exists; "to chair" has also a specific meaning in the UK.
