No of course. Like you I know the 3 famous ones : "Great expectations", "The old man and the sea" "crime and punishment" but I am sure they are all worth reading.
I wish I read more but I am busy learning languages and I don't have much time.

Our grand children are included in the pleasure of language learning. The three will spend a week-end in Calais and only English will be allowed among them. Cuddles will be given in English too....Of course !

Reading involves asking questions about everything and never be certain. Not so easy Sad

Doubt is necessary to science. "Certainty" is useful too - but very rare... "certainty" till we discover it was wrong - that's science.

Notice the conditional "it were".
We often hear English speaking people say
- Conditional doesn't exist in their language: false!
- Subjonctive doesn't exist in their language: false! "God save the Queen" (what is "save?)
They simply don't know and don't car about grammar.

Grammarly.com is designed for English speaking people rather than for foreigners.

I simply understand a criticism of natives who pronounce congradulations and who then don't know teh spelling.
