Re: Internet English Resources / EnglishIsFun -lessons
Muriel,
The model is supposed to be a business letter.
This model is rather American.
There're several possibilities for the ending according to the link with the addressee.
The American "letter code" (my own words - don't know if it's the correct expression) is more casual than the British one.
Very usual in American is the series of "... regards" but there's an order: regards, with regards, best regards, kind regards, warm regards, kindest regards, warmest regards, sweet regards, etc. the first level "regards" is rather quick (far quicker than the French equivalent amitiés) but mind the other levels; we must be careful not to make a mistake.
Take care is very kind -to me Americans are very kind, and direct, and frank-; the expression is not used in business letters but it can be used quickly let's say after a few personal messages, or a drink with the addressee.

Re: Internet English Resources / EnglishIsFun -lessons
Too easy!
I'd have like to also find "fast" or adjectives already ending in "-ly"

)
The words are American.
There're a few differences b/w British & Am.
I didn't know "suger": I guess it's a typo; the Internet doesn't say anything about suger in place of sugar..

Re: Internet English Resources / EnglishIsFun -lessons
Hm I don't agree with the first definition "to dress up" is not "to put on clothes".
I'm not totally satisfied with "to catch up" as "reach sb who is in front of you" either: not the best definition!

The normal way is a bit too long...
I often hear:
five past
ten past
3:fifteen
3: twenty
3: thirty
etc
ten to
five to

This picture belongs to Grammarly.com.
I post it again here too
because the lesson is bloody important.
(click pic to enlarge)
This is very important.
Reading is good to improve a foreign language but
you must absolutely listen to the correct way to pronounce
before recording poor habits
and keeping them for years/decades.
