I may be wrong but "bullshit" is less strong than "merde" (English people also have "shit").

"Shit" is very negative, "bullshit" means useless.

I do love jazz.
Listening to jazz music (radio for example) I can hear songs that I loved years ago and they still recall memories and feelings.
In addition, the songs that I love are played by oodles of musicians, sometimes differently but played by other people who also love the same songs so that I've the impression to be with friends.
In addition, I can play the guitar and I tried to play these songs.

I hate modern commercial music as even though I loved songs, I cannot hear them on the radio - for example, in my youth, I particularly loved "Vénus mon amie" (lots of good feelings attached) and it's impossible to hear it again on the radios; instead I'm obliged to listen to poor songs and singers I've the impression someone is banging my head to harass me!!
