Sorry to have missed a word: Do you know of another equivalent Muriel? as short?
Muriel, the verb "to catch up on (sleep, work)/with (person, vehicle)" is very common, you've to remember it (the verb to catch up without-particle, to catch up also in exist but with other meanings).
"To make up (for)" has a close meaning but "to make up" has several different meanings and it's easy to make mistakes.
"To brush up (on)" is another nice and common verb.

Re: Internet English Resources - Grammarly.com 3
"Where there is a will, I want to be in it" Of course "a will" has different meanings
a will => a legal declaration of a person's wishes regarding the disposal of his or her property or estate after death
a will=> a desire, a wish

Of course, "Where there is a will, I want to be in it" is a pun around "Where ther's a will there's a way" - we jump from the second (in your list) meaning to the first one.
Something noticeable about "will":
* usually it's the American language which gets rid of "useless" letters such as in traveled, canceled, color, etc.
There's also the case of the Brits. There's a series of words derived from "will" losing their double-l - wilful, wilfully wilfulness in BrEn whereas willful, willfully willfullness in AmEn - note the second candeled "l" in BrEn wilfulness.
Willing willingly willingness do exist in British English... too much whisky for someone in the UK
* re "will", Americans use teh word as well but they also have "volition" (which is a French word used in philosophy).

Re: Internet English Resources - Grammarly.com 3
Regarding "will", the verb...
Foreigners often forget that "will" is not always the auxiliary of the future, it may also be the will of volition.
"There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See"
This is a proverb... nothing to do with the future tense.
Decades ago, the future tense was taught:
- I/we shall...
- you will...
- he/she/it/they will...
Nowadays, "shall" is not used except in the interrogative form in British English (Americans use only will).
Notice that English language assigned duty (shall) to me and us while it assigned right/gift (will) to anyone else ie efforts and sacrifices had to be made by us.
