"It's a very tiny brain you have in there, isn't it?"
Dawn French Tells A Brilliant Joke But Alice Doesn't Get It
There is nothing quite like a good joke to get your day started off on the right foot. Of course, it is not only the subject matter that can get us chuckling, it is the way that…

As far as I understood, Alice Tinker is a character in one of Dawn's series of shows (playing a vicar); Alice never understands her jokes... very famous in the UK, and it's starting in the US.

Muriel,
For 2017, moving to another planet still means death. I'll decide to stay on our Earth.

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
Of course you will stay on your earth for 2017 because you have so many things to do for your family, friends, and plans for the future. Anyway for me death is being beyond space and time. Perhaps is it a nice place after all but I don't want to go there yet.

My litte 6 year old grand son is talking to her 2 and a half year old little sister who wants to be a big girl ( much bigger than her 6 month old little cousin)
I know you want to be older but some people (Not me) think you are still very very Young. Don't worry, if you were a grandpa or a grandma you would be dead soon !

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
"... see me eat" or "...see me eating"?
Both are true; however the meaning is slightly different.

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
An Australian man was having a coffee and croissants with butter and jam in a cafe when an American tourist, chewing gum, sat down next to him.
The Australian politely ignored the American, who, nevertheless started up a conversation.
The American snapped his gum and said, ‘You Australian folk eat the whole bread?’
The Australian frowned, annoyed with being bothered during his breakfast, and replied, ‘of course.’
The American blew a huge bubble. ‘We don’t. In the States, we only eat what’s inside. The crusts we collect in a container, recycle them, transform them into croissants and sell them to Australia .’
The American had a smirk on his face. The Australian listened in silence.
The American persisted, ‘D’ya eat jam with your bread?’
Sighing, the Australian replied, ‘of course.’
Cracking his gum between his teeth, the American said, ‘we don’t. In the States, we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then we put all the peels, seeds and the leftovers in containers, recycle them, transform them into jam and sell it to Australia ..
The Australian then asked, ‘Do you have sex in the States?’
The American smiled and said ‘Why of course we do.’
The Australian leaned closer to him and asked, ‘And what do you do with the condoms once you’ve used them?’
‘We throw them away, of course!’
Now it was the Australians turn to smile.
‘We don’t. In Australia , we put them in a container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing gum and sell them to the United States. Why do you think it’s called Wrigley’s?’
For more fun, look up what "to wriggle" means...
Let me help you: it's the verb used to describe what the spermatozoa are doing.

Re: Dawn French Fan Club 2
An angry wife was complaining about her husband spending all his free time in a bar, so one night he took her along with him.
"What'll you have?" he asked.
"Oh, I don't know. The same as you I suppose," she replied.
So, the husband ordered a couple of Jack Daniel's and threw his down in one shot.
His wife watched him, then took a sip from her glass and immediately spat it out. "Yuck, that's TERRIBLE!" she spluttered.
"I don't know how you can drink this stuff!"
"Well, there you go," cried the husband. "And you think I'm out enjoying myself every night!"
