It's important to find ways to "blow off steam" when you're angry rather than holding your anger in. This idiom may also mean "to relax." It refers to steam coming out of a steam engine.

Kool-Aid is an American beverage brand, and I think this expression is exclusively North American. The idiom refers to the deaths of members of a religious cult in Jonestown, Guyana, in 1978; they were poisoned with Kool-Aid.

This tragic event shows us that it is better to be a free-thinker and not systematically follow the herd. Any way people need to belong to a group and it is not always easy to stand out in a crowd and not ride the tide
