You're right Muriel: the pas is "led" even in American :=
"Lead" (pronounced led) is a metal... there's also white lead, red lead (chemical salts), and black lead (pencil).

No Muriel. Er shows you hesitate or you don't know while filler words -that don't need your brain- are true words and let attendees think they're part of the speech.

I know that this sentence is correct in Am but for me it is very difficult to talk like that. I have learnt that when an action happened in the past and has an influence in the present we have to use the present perfect and it is difficult to change.Jenny feels ill. She ate too much

what I find useful in a language method is when you read it first and listen when you have the CDs and then you work on it all over again that is you proofread it.

"Typo" is enough Muriel, it is understood (of course let's pronounce it correctly - taïpo).
At least in my mind, a typo is a tiny thing (re written words); a mistake is more serious; an error is still more (error is the legal word).

- glitch... I use it with the meaning of "little mistake" but my dictionary says informal term for a minor problem; we use it in computing for a technical problem
- hiatus (words only)
- bug - we use the word in computing for a problem; this word has got several meanings and it's different in US En and Brit En.
